Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is a good romp. Glad they put Geoffrey Rush back in. It's worth the price of the ticket just to see Barbossa and Jack Sparrow squabble.

Things to note:

• The monkey, Jack, is still undead from the Aztec curse that he re-acquired after the credits in Curse of the Black Pearl.
• The little dog that was left behind on the cannibal island, getting ready to be barbequed after the credits in Dead Man's Chest, reappears as Captain Teague's (read: Sparrow's daddy) aide. He apparently escaped with the help of sea turtles.
• Yes, for those of you who never had the patience to sit through the credits, there were snippits after the credits... for all three movies in this trilogy.
  
• If you didn't watch the first movie, there are a lot of stuff, inside jokes or otherwise, that you wouldn't understand here... like sea turtles.
  
• That said, it wasn't by Jack's own smarts that he manages to escape the brig on his own. He learnt that trick two movies ago. From somebody else.
• Dispell all hope of seeing another fight involving the kraken. You do get to see the kraken though...
• If you hear the words, "Nine pieces of eight", you haven't heard wrong.
• The song means something, you fools.
• The guy with a fake eye turns out to be a romantic at heart.
• Only one seaman's love was the sea... the rest just want to do the sea.
• Jack Sparrow gives a whole new meaning to multiple personality disorder.
• Sparrow's daddy's cryptic words DO have an impact on our otherwise amoral Jack.
• Jack loves the Pearl. But he knows where to catch the bigger fish.
  
• Everybody only goes to see Chow Yun Fatt say, "Welcome to Singapore."
• This was simply inserted to see if you actually read the lot of this.
• If you think about it afterwards, you wonder if Jack ever went after the Aztec gold prior to the beginning of Curse of the Black Pearl... without full knowledge of the curse.
• Barbossa's actually not a bad guy... he just doesn't like Jack a whole lot.
• The parrot's a coward.
• I really wonder how Tia Dalma tried to kill Jack Sparrow... why did they never say?
• Will Turner has learnt much from Jack Sparrow.
• Marrying in the midst of fighting is a bad idea.

I think that's it.

I want to see Rise of the Silver Surfer. The Silver Surfer intrigues me.
